Daniel and Shae envisioned their wedding as an authentic celebration of the journey that brought them together. Beginning as friends, they grew into best friends and eventually fell in love. Their story resonated deeply with us, as we shared a similar journey in our own love story. Interestingly, their wedding date coincided with our 11th wedding anniversary, October 19th. When they inquired about our availability, we immediately knew we wanted to share our special day with them.
Daniel and Shae wanted to honor the people who shaped their lives. Their vows and toasts were flawlessly delivered, which is to be expected given Daniel being as a multi-Emmy-winning writer for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver.
Additionally, Liberty House was the perfect venue, offering breathtaking views of the New York City skyline to set the stage for this modern love story. And the nearby train station added an extra layer of meaning, reflecting Daniel’s father’s many years of dedicated work there. To tie it all together, it was so fun to find and include a song in their film that mentioned a Bonnie-and-Clyde-style train heist.
Throughout the day, Daniel and Shae’s love for their friends and family shone brightly. Their vows combined perfectly timed humor with heartfelt emotion. Their close friend Bernadette officiated the ceremony, creating SO much laughter and heart. By the end, every guest was either laughing or crying.
Ultimately, their wedding was a testament to their modern love story. It celebrated the relationships they’ve nurtured and the values they hold dear as they look towards their future together.
